So Much Fun To Read .......I Loved It!
By Mrs. C. Colbert
If I read another book this year that I enjoy as much as this then I will be very happy!

I loved the writing, the story, the characters and the pace of the book - it was so much fun to read with some laugh out loud situations.

We first meet Sam, narrator and main protagonist when her car breaks down, she is the sort of girl who is normally unflappable in a crisis, but on this occasion, having just been told by Jamie that he is leaving her to live in South America, she breaks down in front of the bemused AA man.

While Sam tries to play it cool around Jamie pretending that she's doing great without him and even going out on dates trying to make him jealous, he just can't make his mind up - should he stay or should he go? Should Sam let him go and move on or should she fight tooth and nail to win him back? This is the main crux of the story, though there are plenty of other characters who weave in and out and who all have problems of their own, including her adopted sister who doesn't know whether to meet her real father, her friend, Jen, who can never keep hold of her boyfriends for long and doesn't know what she's doing wrong.

It's very easy to get involved with Jane Costello's characters, they are all so likeable and her easy writing style and short chapters make you want to keep turning the pages, hoping that it will all turn out right in the end because you want everyone to be happy.

Overall, I highly recommend this book!

Not my favourite Jane Costello!
By BCB & More
I was really looking forward to reading Jane's new release All The Single Ladies. The last book of hers I read was Girl on The Run which I absolutely loved. This book I also enjoyed but with hand on heart can't say it's my favourite. We meet Sam Brooks as she is going through turmoil. Her boyfriend Jamie has decided that as much as he loves her he has to fulfil his dream of travelling. With that in mind Jamie decides to break it off with Sam, and she in turn makes it her mission to win him back no matter what.

I liked Sam and felt so sorry for her, but to be honest about a quarter of the way in I wanted to shake some sense into the girl. I liked her, but her obsession with winning Jamie back had begun to grate a little on my nerves! However, although I was somewhat irritated, with the appearance of Ben her new man the story took a major upturn. The second half of the book was absolutely brilliant and I found myself smirking and laughing as Sam got herself deeper and deeper into trouble with her ridiculous situations.

One thing I also enjoyed was meeting Sam's friends Jen and Ellie and seeing what happened to them. They were both lovely characters but with their own issue and flaws. I also liked the addition of Luke, Jamie's friend and his relationship woes. One think that did strike me as odd though was that Luke seemed like an addition to the story without anything actually happening with him (if that makes sense).

Like I said before the second half of the book was brilliant and made up for my struggles with Sam in the first half. I certainly enjoyed this and can see that Jane Costello definitely ticks all the right boxes, but for some reason this just isn't my favourite of hers. I will still look forward to her new release, and catching up on her older books that I have yet to read.

Plot: To win back the one you lost....
By A Funny Girl
I've read several of Jane Costello's books and I am a huge fan of hers. She has a unique way of making her books so much fun while also tackling some drama at the same time. I enjoyed All the Single Ladies, but it wasn't one of her best books, it was good, just wasn't GREAT if you know what I mean.

We enter the story as Sam is going through a shocking break up. Her boyfriend, whom she just knew was " The ONE" abruptly breaks up with her to pursue his dreams of traveling. Shocked and hurt Sam is obsessed with winning Jamie back. Of course in order to do so includes being a little more than a little manipulative and her plan also includes making him insanely jealous and to seem as if she could careless...

We also meet her friends Ellie & Jen. THey are a riot themselves and each going through their own crises. Then we also meet Sam's adopted sister Julia and her journey to discover her "real" parents, a journey that will lead to some shocking truths.

During Sam's plan to win Jamie back, she meets Ben. Ben is a lovely man and is crazy about Sam, and Sam finds herself enjoying her time with Ben, but with her obsession with Jamie, Sam is confused. All of her plans and schemes as crazy as they seem, also seem to be working. Jamie comes back on the scene, could it be that Sam has gotten what she wants??

This was a good book and it was an easy read and kept me properly engaged. However, there were just some annoying bits with Sam and this whole obsession with Jamie. There were times when you just wanted to shake her. I definitely still recommend it, I think Jane Costello is a wonderful writer and if you like romance with a comedic spin, then you'll love her writing style.
